Questions on how to join?
The University of Arizona Equestrian Team has flourished in recent years, winning numerous High Point and Reserve High Point awards in both the Western and Hunt Seat divisions. In the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons, our Western team was the Zone 8 Region 2 Regional Champion. In the 2021-2022 season, our Hunt Seat division sent a member to Nationals, who ended up fifth in the Individual Open on the Flat. In the 2022-2023 season, we had a Hunt Sear rider earn a National Championship in Novice Flat!
The University of Arizona Equestrian team performs under the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association and shows in a "catch-ride" style. There are divisions for riders of all levels, from introductory to open classes in both divisions. The Hunt Seat team shows a USEF hunter/jumper style on the flat as well as over fences, while the Western team shows in both reining and horsemanship under AQHA guidelines. Outside of showing, there are team practices, team bonding events, and much more! We also encourage non-showing members to join and experience an equine atmosphere, whether it be improving riding skills under our amazing coaches, or meeting new people with similar interests. We look forward to meeting anyone interested in joining our wonderful club!
